Panettone al Mandarino Tardivo di Ciaculli, basso shape, 1000g, transparent wrapping (#2155)
The rare Late Mandarin from Ciaculli, a suburb of Palermo, Sicily, produces the distinctive flavor of this panettone. Its distinctive, fragrant aroma from rind oil and candied peel, replace other citrus fruit. Unique, the mandarin is a slow food presidium product. This is a Loison exclusive. Sold out.
Before the turn of the nineteenth century, bakers vied for whose tin was the best presentation. This is the third year Loison has produced a collectible tin with a cord handle. It remains a conversation piece after Christmas and the panettone are gone. Inside is a cellophane wrapped panettone. If you have bought the first two years, why stop now! Sold out.
We have a limited number of the 75 page, bilingual Loison panettone cookbook with innovative, novel recipes from five of Italy’s most noted chefs. Please ask for one, should you like, with your panettone order.
